Tarrisa's Story

We have such amazing news to share! Flourish Homes officially opened in September, 2019! By a series of divine connections, we toured a local transitional living home and met their amazing Resident Advisors (RAs) who shared that the program was shutting down on September 30th. A week later they called us to ask if Flourish Homes would be interested in taking over. The Flourish Home’s board unanimously voted to take over this program, as they felt God leading them to do so. We are working toward a smooth transition.

RA’s, Mario and Brittany will be staying on with us in a home fully furnished with a great program. We still need to raise thousands more per month in funding to cover monthly expenses, but we trust God to lead others to join us in this leap of faith.

Thank you for your prayers and to all who have prayed for, sowed into, and worked on Flourish Homes. We appreciate your continued support helping us transition young women who have aged out of foster care or have other vulnerable circumstances to successful adulthood.

May God do abundantly above all we can ask, think or imagine,

Beth Reinwald, Founder & CEO

The Need

  • 60% of children trafficked in the US come from the Foster Care system (KeepOrphans.org)
  • 1/3rd of teens on the street will be lured toward prostitution within 48 hours of leaving their home (US DOJ)
  • Oklahoma has the highest rate of women in prison in the US (The Sentencing Project)
  • Oklahoma has the second highest rate of teen pregnancy and homeless children (OK Commission on the Status of Women)

We provide young women with guidance & opportunity

By providing a home, caring adults, and direction, Flourish Homes will decrease homelessness, incarceration, recidivism, and human trafficking.

While many homes are specific to helping young, pregnant mothers, we are the only home positioned to uniquely serve:

  • Youth aging out of foster care
  • Young women age 18-25 whom are not pregnant and do not have children in their custody
  • Young women at high risk, lacking critical supports
